Setup instructions for AllManage system

1: In binary mode , upload the images that come supplied with this program.
Word of advice, take note of where you put them....

2: Create a directory on your system called "backup" and chmod it 777. Kewl.
*make a notre of this directory, as it is a required field in "allmanage_req.pl"

3: Open the file allmanage_req.pl in your favorite text editor and make the
necessary changes to reflect the paths and URL's to your site. ALSO, be sure
that the very first line on each script points to the correct place for your
perl interpreter. *VERY IMPORTANT*

4: In your cgi-bin place the rest of these files. If it ends in ".cgi" or ".pl"
chmod it to 755. otherwise, chmod it 777.
***WARNING*** the .cgi and .pl files MUST be uploaded in ASCII format ***WARNING***
So, you need to chmod 755:
-allmanage.pl
-allmanageup.pl /* if you downloaded the uploadable version */
-allmanage_admin.pl
-allmanage_req.pl
Now you need to chmod 777:
-adp
-approved.txt
-declined.txt
-header.code
-footer.code
-k
-max.txt
-pend.txt
-purpose.list
-qut7671.dat
-suspended.txt
-pending.file
-susp.file
-settings.cfg

5: The next file is the registration form. Put it wherever you want on your system...
but be sure to change the "<form action="all_reg.pl"....> part to reflect where
the all_reg.pl file actually is!
-register.html

6: The last thing to do is to upload all the icons (the ico directory)
Be sure and make a note of where these files are, cos you need to tell the
config script where they sit!

Whew! why so many files I hear you ask? Well....umm...err......dunno....but Im
sure I had a good reason!

Make sure you change the form action on the "register.html" to point to
your programs location....

Anyway....now that we have set up that shit fight lets take her for a spin! Go to
allmanage_admin.pl and enter your password. (The initial value is [CASE SENSETIVE]:

username: admin
password: password

)
Anyway, if you get the same stuff ads the demo, well done. First thing to do
is you MUST change the admin username, password and email. Now test the rest
of the scripts.

One problem I have been getting _LOTS_ of emails about is the sending of the mail.
At this stage, I will only say that it worked on my home machine (using sendmail)
and that is all.

(NB.....you can log into the main "allmanage.pl" script with your admin username
and password!!!)

If that works, try filling out the registration form...

If, for some reason it doesnt work, check that all the paths and URLS are right.
If you get "Are you supposed to be accessing this program in this fashion?"
you need to change the URLs in the @drizware.comfile.
anyway, failing all else, drop me an email. Tell me exactly what the error msg's you
are getting, and if it ran at all...
